If you want mp3 playback, then you don't need to learn C++ / C#,
or have any appreciation of sound, DSP and music, just buy
an ipod or mp3 player. What has mp3s got to do with making
music ?
Show an example where you actually synthesise a sound !
Or effect an sample, say ring modulate a raw file with this function...
sin(f*t) + 0.5*sin(2*f*t)
.. it could be good...
