I played with Rosegarden a bit and did not have much luck "propagating" time signatures sequences.
I have a couple methods to work around the issue:
Method 1:
My first suggestion is to set up shortcut key to your liking keys:
fast forward:
rewind:
add tempo change:
if you have not already.
The shortcuts can be assigned via the Settings->Configure Shortcuts... dialog in RG.
If you like a GUI interface, you could add the "Add Time Signature Change..." dialog as a toolbar button via the Settings->Configure Toolbars... dialog in RG
Anyhow, with either method you use the fast forward and rewind keys (or toolbar buttons) to move from measure to measure then insert a time signature change at the time marker with either the shortcut key or the toolbar button.
Yes, it is not as slick as inserting a set of 8 time signatures at once, though.
Method 2:
Create your own metronome segments:
- The idea is that you turn off the RG metronome.
- Then create segments that duplicate the metronome sound you want for each sequence of time signatures.
- You can use repeated segments or copy and paste where needed.

Anyway you look at it, it is an investment of time. The task sounds repetitive any way it's looked at.
I think the best method is method 1. This will facilitate with notation, if needed, and will allow you to use RG's metronome features.

I tried importing and merging files, but only had limited success in getting time signatures to add to the current file.
Anyone else got any ideas?
