This reminds me of a "minor"(?) flaw in Mtest.py:
Mapi.py gets installed in case clients was configured with python avialable,
but Mtest.py set "HAVE_PYTHON" if MonetDB was configured with python
avialable. Hence, in case clients and MonetDB are not configured equally,
the conditional does not reflect the actual status.
The same hold for all static/compile-time conditionals currently supported
by Mtest.py.
To solve this problem, we could consider deriving all conditionals only at
runtime as Mtest.py already does, e.g., for all MonetDB/Java related
conditional.
