Henoc,
Hmmm, I'm a bit new to facelets so must excuse myself as Only the Tech Writer. Perhaps someone on the j2ee list knows of any problems you may face?

If you succeed in your combined project, it would be really cool if you could write a Community Contribution about how to do it. It's all explained at http://wiki.netbeans.org/CommunityDocs. You'll need to register with wiki.netbeans.org if you haven't done so.

In fact,  I've followed http://blogs.sun.com/poting/entry/build_and_install_facelets_support
and was able to add facelets to a simple dumb project.

My ultimate gaol is to try to build an combinate project where I could use the best of two worlds:
That way we should be able to mix in the same project some areas or modules

-VWP and all it's stuff  on one hand
-facelets/Rich Faces and SEAM on the other hands

The choice will then be let to our team depending on the module to implement to choose and the team's skill to
use one or the other.

By the way,
if you got some info or hints on what could   //  POSSIBLY OR CERTAINLY //   go WRONG...

please don't hesitate to tell us (it will save us some days for sure)

Cheers

Henoc,
Facelets and Seam support for 6.1 should be through QA and available from the Plugin Center by the end of next week.
Did you simply include both Facelets and Faces support in the project once you'd built and installed the Facelets plugin?

Hi Wouter,

Yes I already done that last week !!

I used info from
http://davidsalter.co.uk/index.php?q=node/104
and from
http://blogs.sun.com/poting/entry/build_and_install_facelets_support
(I recommend this for others .)

By the way do you know if there is some plan to release the plugin (or even better to support it officialy in NB6.x )  ?

Hi,

Did you have alook at

https://nbfaceletssupport.dev.java.net

? There is no binary available now for 6.1 (AFAIK) but you can check out the
code from CVS and build for 6.1 and it should work. Please let me know if you
have any troubles.

Hi !
My problem seems simple :
Imagine you got some existing project (under NB 6.1)  using simple JSF...
I want to translate  my jsp towards facelets.
But as i can't do it all at once I want it to combine the old jsps and the new xhtml of the web site areas i already re-engineered

Well is it simply possible ??

It seems not because I have spend hours and hours trying ; then looking around for some forum post or blog..

Please if you guys got some hints about how to ask jsf to
1- process xhtml files with Facelets
2- and keep jsp files with the standard JSF

Is it possible ?
I had played a lot with   "javax.faces.DEFAULT_SUFFIX" and  "<view-handler>" etc.. but nothing comes out...

So any hint/help is welcomed

thanks
