Hi All,
RTL translation and css layout is coming along.. but there is still
much more work that needs to be done. If you can translate
msgids/msgstrings to Arabic and/or have the css chops to help with
fixing some layout bugs please join us January 11th and 12th for some
bug squashing and translating.
Arabic translation is about 30% done.. Hebrew is closer to 80% ...
As an example of layout issues.. take a look at the following.. load
of one of your Plone sites in Firefox...
Go to Tools/Options
In the Languages section click the "choose" button
In the "Select Languages to Add" drop down select Arabic (ar)
Click the "add" button
Select Arabic in the list and then click the "move up" button (so it's
first in the languages)
Save
Reload your site..
This is what visitors whose primary language is Arabic..see.. you'll
note some layout issues.. (logo on top of site actions for example)
The focus for the virtual sprint will be improving the Arabic
translation.. this is not meant to replace any formal sprint for i18n
but provide support for bringing the Arabic translation and RTL layout
up to par.
If'n you can make it.. let me know.. css gurus encouraged to participate.. :-)
Best Regards,
