Actually the NVIU tag is misleading -- there is a newer version in
testing too. And although this package has been unmaintained in
practice, I'm stiil the official maintainer fwiw.

I see you filed #488607 and #488608 against ftp.debian.org. Once those
are resolved, the removal will propagate to testing automatically,
assuming no package depends on the removed packages.
