I thought this might be a good forum for what I am about to start. I
have several project leads. I am going to describe them and see if there
is any solution better for this client. Disclaimer I have done many
sites with Plone,drupal and ACS in the past.
This is for a small but well known film school. They have little if at
all experiences with CMS or database driven site. They have several
needs; SEO enhancements, subscription for course catalog (no need for
ecommerce).
An ideal developer should be able to work in phases if possible teaching
client's staff. They have experiences of using PHP and they tend to move
very quickly. I think we need workflow, template, CSS (theme or skin).
The most important is to understand needs and help the client in
staggered fashion.
The site is not a large one and it will require skilled CMS practitioner
with solid programming skills. You may need to work with the project
manager (as a client liason).
