Yep, I think its a bug in 4D View. I'm using 2004.7. but you can get around it by calling PV ON ERROR prior to the PV OPEN DOCUMENT. That will at least let you trap it to make sure that you don't get the error message. Now you have to trap for all the other problems that could be legit. Not the best solution but one that will work.
