Project announcement: JuMP - the Jxta Management Project

Dear all,

It's with great pleasure that I announce to you the creation of a new
Jxta project entitled "JuMP - The Jxta Management Project".

This new project, defined as a core one, aims at providing a management
framework for the Java implementation of Jxta. Large pieces of work have
already been done. Mainly:
(1) the definition of a management information model designed as a CIM
extension;
(2) its implantation in a manager/agent framework;
(3) the design of a graphical management application which provides
monitoring capabilities.

All the implementation work is centered on the Java technology (Jxta
java implementation, JMX, Mof2MBean, JGraph, ...)

We think that this project can be very helpful for people who want to
develop new Jxta applications and for administrators who host Jxta
applications too.

Source files are available (under CVS) on the web site of the project:
http://jump.jxta.org

A lot of work still has to be done and people who would like to get
involved in this project are welcome (and can contact me at the
following email address : guillaume.doyen@...).
