Problem using MDR in Netbeans

Hi,

I have successfully installed MDR in netbeans 3.5.1.
I am now following the instructions for the the example for using mdr given here

I am at the point where I need to create the ProjectCreationDemo.java file.
(Am I correct in saying that I am creating instances of the metamodel in this file?)
I am confused as to where this file should go - I have created a directory called mdrdemo in the org/netbeans directory that was created when I generated the JMI interfaces and saved it here.
But it is not picking up the following imports

import org.netbeans.api.mdr.MDRManager;
import org.netbeans.api.mdr.MDRepository;

I have carried out the three instructions that are given

• Create a new instance of "Project" package in "Project model" extent
• Set the class to be run using internal execution
• Created the jar file with the generated JMI API

Can anyone tell me what to do next. Thanks.
