ClamAV 0.92.1Ive gotten 0.92.1 working on a pair of ewf 2.1 servers, and
also on a pair of 2.1.2 servers. There is a difference in size of the files clamd.conf and freshclam.conf between the two versions of efw, since they had different versions of clamav. (I'm pretty sure) The newer one is larger. I haven't taken the time to compare them, but is there any need to keep the older version around for 2.1? Anyone know off hand? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW! efw 2.1For 2.1, is it possible to enable secure file transfer?
2.1.2 works fine... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW! Re: ClamAV 0.92.1You do need to use the new files or you can't run clamd or
freshclam. And I asked the wrong question. The file /etc/init.d/clamd differs. The newer one is larger. Ok to use the clamd file from 2.1.2 on 2.1? I'm going to test this... -----Original Message----- From: efw-user-bounces@... [mailto:efw-user-bounces@...] On Behalf Of compdoc Sent: Monday, July 07, 2008 5:47 PM To: efw-user@... Re: efw 2.1If you enable SSH, you should be able to use SCP w/out issue. I'm no
longer running any 2.1; however, I'm fairly certain I've used SCP with that version in the past. Mike K. -----Original Message----- From: efw-user-bounces@... Re: efw 2.1I think scp works from the command line, but I use the free
www.ssh.com client which does ssh, plus file transfer. Maybe it's not actually scp that its using. On a 2.1.2 server, the client opens both a file xfer window and a command line window. But with 2.1, only the command line can open. It's just an inconvenience, but it would be nice to be able to enable... -----Original Message----- From: efw-user-bounces@... Re: efw 2.1I'm not familiar with that client.
I've used Filezilla (M$) or GFTP (*nix) as a graphical scp client in the past. I know it's not an answer to your issue, but I've had good luck with these clients. You might also look at sshfs. It's a way of mounting a remote directory over scp as though it were local to your system... pretty slick. Michael J. Knisely -----Original Message----- From: efw-user-bounces@...
