Pls recommend DVD's

Hi, everybody!

I am very, very lucky in that my local library carries all the classic Dr. Who DVD's that have been made so far.  It's pretty hard for my husband and me to choose which ones to check out, given such a selection.  So I'd like to ask you all which DVD's you think have the best special features and audio commentaries.  (My husband and I already have a sizable Dr. Who video collection, so in most cases we just check out the DVD's for the audio commentary and the "extras," not to watch the adventure itself again.)

Obviously, I am most interested in ep's that feature Sarah Jane, so let me know for sure which of those are best!  My husband is a big Ace/Doctor 7 fan, so he'd appreciate recommendations from that era especially.  But really, we are open to any and all suggestions--we like all the characters and all the Doctors!

As far as what I myself can recommend...I have only seen a handful of the DVD's so far, but my favorites, in terms of commentary and special features, are "Inferno" and "Ghost Light."  My husband, a big Douglas Adams fan, recommends "City of Death," which contains lots of vintage interview footage of Adams himself.  In general, we have also enjoyed many DVD's with the duo of Barry Letts and Katy Manning commentating.  Letts is a veritable encyclopedia of Doctor Who facts, and Manning's fun personality shines through in her comments.  (You could say that he provides the substance, and she provides the style.)  The only real klinker that we've found so far is "The Pirate Planet."  Don't get me wrong, the story itself is great!  But the commentary was so boring that we actually stopped listening to it after the first episode.  I always joke that they should've gotten Barry Letts and Katy Manning to commentate on "The Pirate Planet," even though it's not one of "their" stories.  Hee-hee!  :)

Anyway, I look forward to all your recommendations!

Anything with both Lis Sladen and Tom Baker on the commentary is bound to be pretty funny and cute, so that's most of the Fourth Doctor ones with Sarah in, I think... The Hand of Fear has a quite interesting documentary, as far as I recall. It's been ages since I've watched any special features so I'm having trouble remembering what there is...
As for the Seventh and Ace, I really like both Remembrance of the Daleks and The Curse of Fenric, good commentaries on them both and some interesting special features, plus they're both really good stories anyway.
If you like funny commentaries, anything with Janet Fielding is a laugh - Earthshock's a really sad story, but the commentary's hilarious! The one for The Visitation is great too. I don't remember why but I'm sure I actually cried with laughter at one point...

I reccommend Hand of Fear and Planet of Evil. Time Warrior is good but without Jon Pertwee.......although there is an interview an dfootage of him driving his Whomobile.

Thanks so much, everybody, for all your recommendations!  Since "The Hand of Fear" was suggested to me by several people, I watched that first.  I'll comment about it in the "Hand of Fear" thread on this forum.

Since Llin said that Janet Fielding was funny, the next DVD I tried was "Castrovalva."  This DVD rocks--you guys have all got to see it, if you haven't yet!!!  The commentary is fun and interesting--absolutely no awkward silences.  The extras are great, too--esp. interviews from _Blue Peter_ and _Swap Shop_.

My friend loaned me "Castrovalva" in a boxed set with "Logopolis" and "Keeper of Traken," so those are the next two DVD's that I'll watch.  After that, it's back to the library for more Sarah stories.  :)

Thanks again, everyone!

Oh, I also wanted to mention that a lot of the commentary on "Castrovalva" is devoted to discussing the characters' costumes.  (All the main characters except Adric have costume changes in this one!)  Thought you might be interested, since this site is wardrobe-focussed.

Ooh, awesome, I'll have to check that out! I love Nyssa and Tegan's costumes...
