yeah, that guy https://recordrama.sslpowered.com/index.html is
honestly kind of a dick.  i've tried shopping there before (it's where
i got my copy of donna summer's "i feel love") and because he's been
so intent on doing this "world's largest collection" he's been
extremely protective and generally unwilling to do business with
individuals.  there are so many record stores in pittsburgh who are
interested in actually selling their wares that going to record rama
is kind of useless at this point, and obviously so now that he's gone
public with the selling the whole collection thing.

Sure but this is some digging ;)

"Paul remembers buying 500 copies of a rare album made by Porky
Chedwick, the famed local DJ of the 1950s. With the record backed by a
funeral home, he remembers buying a casket full of them from Mr.
Chedwick at 11:30 p.m. The deal was done in a graveyard, appropriately
enough."

I don't know what's funniest about this eBay auction (as that is what Martin's link is to).  For those who haven't followed it, it's
a guy selling "The World's Greatest Music Collection, 3 Million Records, 300,000 CDs, 6 million+ Song Titles" for a $3 million
starting bid.  Amongst the contenders are:

The eBay user who's question is

"Q:  Do you have anyone in technichal support that can tell me if I could fit all of these songs on to my 30GB Ipod Video?"

The eBay user who's question is (despite loads of previous answers that they won't split the collection in any way)

"Q:  I am simply interested in 'Here comes the Hot Stepper' by Ini Kamoze. Would you be able to separate this classic from the
collection and sell it to me?"

or eBay themselves who entice you to bid with the fact that you may be able to get $10 back on this item.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!

i was wondering who robbie d is:

"There are thousands of rare and valuable recordings in the collection. [...] Countless other rare and uncharted recordings, like the super rare "Precious Memories" by legendary Detroit DJ, Robbie D."

can anyone clarify? never heard of.

yeah, they wouldnt let you just look through the records at Record
Rama which is why it is not a place i go shopping. pittsburgh is
honestly something of a record mecca, theres so many better places to
go. that collection is impressive though!
