You can get a logger using the methot getLogger() in your component
implementation.
This logger is provided by PEtALS and can be configured with the
logger.properties file in $PETALS/conf.
The configuration is done via Monolog, but the logger implementation is
javaLog.
If you want to use log4j, there is already a version embedded in the
PEtALS container, so without isolating your component's classloader, you
will inherit of this log4j library.
There is a log4j.properties file too in $PETALS/conf to configure log4j
loggers.
