Patent on "Emotional Emulation""Patent #7,089,218:
"Method for inclusion of psychological temperament in an electronic emulation of the human brain "This invention incorporates temperament, emotion, feeling, personality and prior experiences to accurately emulate a human's thought and decision processes. Without these, it is highly unlikely that any system or neural network can accurately emulate real human beings . . . Unlike other approaches to the emulation of human thought, this invention readily permits the influence of cultural, religious and political views and beliefs that are unique to the personality being emulated . . . comprising a set of four temperament-specific parameters, each representing one of the four classical personality temperaments, Choleric, Melancholy, Sanguine and Phlegmatic." Hasn't ALICE pretty much done that already? Kris _______________________________________________ This is the alicebot-general mailing list Reply to alicebot-general@... Take a look at some of the others too. They've pretty much patented all areas of AI But then again everything's been patented. Patents are a joke. ----- Original Message ---- From: Dr. Rich Wallace <drwallace@...> To: Alicebot and AIML General Discussion <alicebot-general@...> Sent: Tuesday, August 8, 2006 1:49:28 PM Subject: Re: [alicebot-general] Patent on "Emotional Emulation" Who is the patent holder? > "Patent #7,089,218: > "Method for inclusion of psychological temperament in an electronic > emulation of the human brain > "This invention incorporates temperament, emotion, feeling, personality > and prior experiences to accurately emulate a human's thought and > decision processes.
