Page Setup v11.2r2

All,

I am working on updating a DB from v6 to v11.  By and large all has
gone very smooth, until...

I am going through the existing printing routines and forms to make
sure printing is unchanged for the customer.  I am encountering some
strange behavior here.

I bring up an existing form, the form is set to print Landscape.  When
the Page Setup dialog opens it does not reflect the page orientation
that has been stored with the form.  The form reflects Landscape and
Setup reflects Portrait.  OKing the dialog with Landscape does not
change the paper orientation stored in the form.  In fact, noting I do
in the Page Setup dialog seem to be reflected in the form, Pager Size,
nothing.

Also, the Scale on the form is often whacked, showing anywhere from 50
% to 2,970 % instead of 100 %.

Has anyone else seen this behavior.

BTW 4D v11.2r2, Mac Pro 10.4.11

Charlie

I experienced this moving from v6.7 to v2003.  Sometimes I had to remake
the forms from scratch.

Charles,

Remember that since 4D 2004, you set the page setup for a form in the
Property List, not by selecting Page Setup from the File menu.

I've had  similar issues in upgrading an even older app for a client
to v11.

The only way I could get it working was to reset the page setup for
the forms. DO so from the property list editor for the form NOT from
the page setup from the file menu.

Hope that helps,
John...

Hi.

I recall this to happen when the original setting was created on Mac
OS 9.

In any case, as already pointed out, redefinition via the property
list should fix it.
