PL/SQL updates

Hello,
        I am trying to execute two SQL update statements with one iBATIS
statement using a PL/SQL block. The code executes correctly, but the
update method in Java always returns -1. Is there any way, short of
executing a second query, for me to determine whether my update matched
any rows?
