Our site developed with GrokHi everybody!
I just wanted to share with you that we just finished changing our website, and we developed it using Grok! We're a non governmental organization in El Salvador, Central America who protects consumer's rights. Our site in Spanish is: http://www.cdc.org.sv We're planning to make the content available in English too and Grok (Zope3) will make this feature really easy to develop. I thank everybody who makes this framework possible and those who have helped me understand it better. Suggestions and comments are well appreciated. Regards, Douglas "... allí es cuando te das cuenta que las cosas malas pueden resultar bastante buenas..." - Lionel Messi Por favor, evite enviarme adjuntos de Word, Excel o PowerPoint. It is always very important to have an idea of successes of other developers. I do not read Spanish. Nevertheless, the site is slick and quick ;-) ! -- Godefroid Chapelle (aka __gotcha) http://bubblenet.be _______________________________________________ Grok-dev mailing list Grok-dev@... http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/grok-dev |

We hope to hear more about your experiences with Grok so we can continue to improve it. Hi everybody! Very nice, impressing site!! :) There could/should be really a "sites built with Grok" section on grok.zope.org.... Best, Miklós _______________________________________________ Grok-dev mailing list Grok-dev@... http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/grok-dev |

"powered by Grok" sites and apps pageYes, we should have something like this on the site - anyone takers willing to volunteer to compile and maintain this list? At it's simplest this can just be a page of links at an URL such as /about/builtwith/ and a person or two who is willing to update it now and again. These lists do tend to become a bit long and hard to maintain over time so alternatively if anyone is feeling particularly energetic either a new Plone content-type or a mini Grok app that had a provision for fields such as Screenshot, Industry, Country, Type ("Site", "App" or "Add-on") etc. But then it's probably best either way to begin collating this information into one place and that can be migrated into something better if/when that happens. |

Re: "powered by Grok" sites and apps pageHow about a 'grok-site' tag in delicious?
Works for Plone sites - http://del.icio.us/tag/plone-site On Tue, Jul 22, 2008 at 4:53 PM, Kevin Teague <kevin@...> wrote:

Re: "powered by Grok" sites and apps pageI can start compiling the list of sites reported in the mailing list. In /about/builtwith we can recommend reporting any site developed with Grok to del.icio.us under the tag grok-site. Danny On 23 Jul 2008, at 01:39, David Bain wrote:

The contenttypes are all there. Support for both "providers" and "sites". And with by-country and by-industry listings. Works pretty well (I'm the main reviewer on plone.net, so I get to use it on a few times per week). Possible snag: plone.net is geared towards public websites. How many non-websites are build with grok? I mean, what would we do with a game made with grokcore.*? Reinout -- Reinout van Rees Blog: http://vanrees.org/weblog/ reinout@... Re: "powered by Grok" sites and apps pageI would suggest adding screencasts of these sites, seing as one never
knows how long they are accesible and sometimes the cool parts require login. I have several live applications that I could make screencasts of but which require user authorisation. A screencast says more than a thousand words. :) Mvh Sebastian 23 jul 2008 kl. 14.19 skrev Danny Navarro: > I can start compiling the list of sites reported in the mailing list. > > In /about/builtwith we can recommend reporting any site developed > with Grok to del.icio.us under the tag grok-site. > > Danny > > On 23 Jul 2008, at 01:39, David Bain wrote: > >> How about a 'grok-site' tag in delicious? >> Works for Plone sites - http://del.icio.us/tag/plone-site >> >> On Tue, Jul 22, 2008 at 4:53 PM, Kevin Teague <kevin@...> wrote: >> >> >> Jegenye 2001 Bt (Miklós Prisznyák) wrote: >> > >> > There could/should be really a "sites built with Grok" section on >> > grok.zope.org.... >> > >> >> Yes, we should have something like this on the site - anyone takers >> willing >> to volunteer to compile and maintain this list? >> >> At it's simplest this can just be a page of links at an URL such as >> /about/builtwith/ and a person or two who is willing to update it >> now and >> again. >> >> These lists do tend to become a bit long and hard to maintain over >> time so >> alternatively if anyone is feeling particularly energetic either a >> new Plone >> content-type or a mini Grok app that had a provision for fields >> such as >> Screenshot, Industry, Country, Type ("Site", "App" or "Add-on") >> etc. But >> then it's probably best either way to begin collating this >> information into >> one place and that can be migrated into something better if/when that >> happens. >> >> >> -- >> View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Our-site-developed-with-Grok-tp18270628p18599585.html >> Sent from the Grok mailing list archive at Nabble.com. >> >> _______________________________________________ >> Grok-dev mailing list >> Grok-dev@... >> http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/grok-dev >> >> _______________________________________________ >> Grok-dev mailing list >> Grok-dev@... >> http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/grok-dev > > _______________________________________________ > Grok-dev mailing list > Grok-dev@... > http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/grok-dev _______________________________________________ Grok-dev mailing list Grok-dev@... http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/grok-dev |

Re: Re: "powered by Grok" sites and apps pageWe could have different sections,
- Web sites. It would be close to plone.net, even better if can provide screencasts. - Web applications. These would be applications you can download and run it locally to do something. For example: http://www.bcgsc.ca/platform/bioinfo/software/gum http://code.google.com/p/grokpaste/ - Grok packages. For that I'm thinking in the Grok Packages section of the Zope3 package guide. http://wiki.zope.org/zope3/Zope3PackageGuide#grok-packages Regards, Danny On 24 Jul 2008, at 10:06, Reinout van Rees wrote: > Kevin Teague schreef: >> Jegenye 2001 Bt (Miklós Prisznyák) wrote: >>> There could/should be really a "sites built with Grok" section on >>> grok.zope.org.... >>> >> Yes, we should have something like this on the site - anyone takers >> willing >> to volunteer to compile and maintain this list? >> At it's simplest this can just be a page of links at an URL such as >> /about/builtwith/ and a person or two who is willing to update it >> now and >> again. >> These lists do tend to become a bit long and hard to maintain over >> time so >> alternatively if anyone is feeling particularly energetic either a >> new Plone >> content-type or a mini Grok app that had a provision for fields >> such as >> Screenshot, Industry, Country, Type ("Site", "App" or "Add-on") etc. > > Something like plone.net?
