Options for GEDCOM-exportDear all, I’m using Gramps As I was about to use the data in another
Genealogy-System (to create wallpaper prints on a Windows-System) I needed a
GEDCOM-export from my GRAMPS-Data. Unfortunately, the ged-file could not be imported on
the windows-system. I could not find a way to specify GEDCOM output options in I had to import the data into an older GRAMPS-version
( I’m sure there must be an easier way – but
where can I specify this in GRAMPS Thanks for your help, Eckhard ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Gramps-users mailing list Gramps-users@... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gramps-users |

Re: Options for GEDCOM-exportHi Eckhard
The GEDCOM-file is supposed to be of version 5.5, but the character encoding is Unicode, not ISO-8859-1. Re: Options for GEDCOM-exportIf anyone is interested there is plenty of code in the GRAMPS source
repository to make a stand alone application for converting and cleaning up GEDCOM files... Might even get other projects working together and have a GRAMPS XML export option... Just a thought.
