Options for GEDCOM-export

Dear all,

I’m using Gramps 3.0.1. on Ubuntu, Language set to German.

As I was about to use the data in another Genealogy-System (to create wallpaper prints on a Windows-System) I needed a GEDCOM-export from my GRAMPS-Data.

Unfortunately, the ged-file could not be imported on the windows-system. I could not find a way to specify GEDCOM output options in 3.0.

I had to import the data into an older GRAMPS-version ( 2.2.10) on my windows system and used that to create the ged-file (GEDCOM 5.5.standard, character set to ANSI ISO-8859-1)

I’m sure there must be an easier way – but where can I specify this in GRAMPS 3.0.1 ?

Thanks for your help,

Eckhard

Hi Eckhard
The GEDCOM-file is supposed to be of version 5.5, but the character
encoding is Unicode, not ISO-8859-1.

If anyone is interested there is plenty of code in the GRAMPS source
repository to make a stand alone application for converting and
cleaning up GEDCOM files... Might even get other projects working
together and have a GRAMPS XML export option...

Just a thought.
