What Oil filter no I need?

How many Quarts of oil do I need?

fram CH6004 oil filter i buy at advance auto...oil amount is 3.3 quarts (3.1 L )..make sure you buy 4 cycle motorcycle specific oil 20-40...there is another choice to make petroleum based or synthetic...
my recommendation is petroleum based because at present its cheaper and you will need to change your oil by 2000 miles..the nature of our engine is hot but in addition to that is the fact that it also cools the transmission and clutch,,,there is much greater shearing going on in that compartment...so effectively our oil begins breaking down at between 1000 and 1500 miles...yg

Don't forget to pick up an o-ring for the oil filter cover bolt.  It tends to get torn when you pull the bolt out.  Yamaha part #93210-07135.  They come in packs of 5.  Just by a pack so you've got them.
