Not able to get Principal from ActionContext

I am brand new to webwork.
I am using webwork for my web development.
I do not know which version it is.All I can see is date of webwork.jar which is 14th Jan 2003 .

I am trying to do ActionContext.getContext().getPrincipal() in my class  which extends ActionSupport and getting null.I need to get user name from Principal.
What are the places I should look?I mean ,how the principal gets populated?

2003 ? Damn.

Anyway, I guess you would need to get the Principal object from the request. I suppose you could retrieve the request object from the valuestack, but it's been a long time since I've done any WW development, so I could be way off.

Thanks Philip.I could resolve it by correcting some config files ...I am not sure which one though.There were too many errors since I was trying to set up an application and I do not remember about this particular error.
As of now,My app is up and running.
