No configure file

I downloaded rekall-2.4.5.tar.gz and then did 'tar -vzxf
rekall-2.4.5.tar.gz'

The 'Building and Installing' page on your web site has the following:

After unpacking the source tarball (or downloading from CVS and running
the "make -f Makefile.cvs ...." command), change to the rekall directory
and configure the build by running the command:

|./configure --prefix=PREFIX

|
I executed the command with the prefix of /usr  but there is no
configure file to execute.

I even did 'find / -name configure* -print' and came up with nothing.

What do I do now?

Loren Bickel

P.S.  I'm running PCLinuxOS

Error compiling

Trying to compile rekall on my new laptop, the compilation process exits with the following error message:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lrekall_kde
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
scons: *** [build/kde/test/common/rkt_common] Error 1
make: *** [kde] Error 2

Is there something missing in the rekall245 distribution? I believe that I have installed all the necessary external dependencies.

Any idea would be highly appreciated.
Egbert
