Newbie here :)

Hello all, I'm completely new to AI (other than movies hehe) I'm more familiar with web page design, specifically HTML, PHP, and XML.  

I recently got a copy of ALICE, for a forum posting bot on one of my websites. First this started off as just another one of my many toys for this site. However, after looking into ALICE, downloading an AIML editor program, and playing around with that. I've become completely enthralled with it. Me being a big sci-fi buff, you can understand why hehe.

Long story short, I've got the basic idea of how ALICE works, but would like to start actually "customizing" a bot. I've found some references, and tutorials here that I will look into here very soon. But any suggestions, tips, or advice you might be able to offer, would be greatly appreciated.

As I get farther into this, I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions to ask all of you, if you don't mind hehe :-)
