Just bought "The Dead Bears" on Beatport.  I remembered several people
rating it in the past few months...

The track "NY" is totally kicking my butt -- one of those 'wrong is
right" tracks.  It's slow and grindy and overcompressed, but
irresistable.  At first it sounds like it was recorded on a dictaphone
pointed at an AM Radio tuned between stations, but there's no way the
bass on this track came from a low fi or damaged production.  It is a
track I immediately wished I'd made.

The whole CD is pretty great, but NY is so crazy it has scary eyes.

I hadn't realised there were a few older tracks on the CD version. That
track is originally from the "Theme From" EP:
http://www.discogs.com/release/7220, later re-released on Planet E:
http://www.discogs.com/release/77161. Kent, you should now begin tracking
down everything else NWAQ-related that you've missed. :)

Once again, I find out about things late. By the way, Tristan, if you
search on the Planet E release number, there's one entry for discogs,
and one entry for a post you made to 313 in 2002.  So while I slept
you were on it.

Hmm, I bought a copy about 6 months or so ago on Delsin, so I guess
there's been a repress? I seem to recall a mail regarding Delsin represses
on this list, don't remembe who sent it, though...

I enjoyed The Dead Bears as well, very nice. :)

Rings a bell as well. FWIW, the originals on Delsin have tracks that didn't
make it on to the Planet E 12", which just has one track from each of the
first two 12"s.
