New User Living Person QuestionHi
Please forgive this question if it is a little silly. Is there any feature in Gramps to allow me to designate a person as living such that the reports will not provide an empty space for their place and date of death. I have partial information on some deceased people and would like the blanks to appear where I don't know the details of the deaths, but for the living people it freaks me out a little ;-) As I said the request is a little silly. On the upside, I have started using Gramps and I quite like it. Until now I had not tried to do any research because I did not know where to store it. The program is fantastic and quite easy to use... Re: New User Living Person Question2008/7/20 Timothy Legge <timlegge@...> Hi You could use an estimated or ranged date for the death event. Just add a death event and eg write 'between 1900 and 1950' It will indicate a person as deceased, but it is clear you do not know the exact date. Consider at the same time to set the marker of the person to 'uncomplete', which allows you to quickly search with the filter sideview all persons you have marked for further research. Benny
