New Barca signings

[England are out. Again.]

After having signed a reliable holding mid-fielder (Keita), a (supposedly) promissing central defender (Pique) and a solid defender (Caceres), Barca have pulled the big one. We've signed the best right-back in the world (Daniel Alves) and we're about to sign Hleb. The only missing piece of the puzzle is Karim Benzema and then we'll rule Europe.

Keita....never heard of him=he's probably shite
pique....i have heard of him=he IS shite
caceras....not a bad signing=he will probably get injured in the pre-season
alves....not my definition of a defender=same ol' barca, same ol' mistakes

Alves is a quality player. Great signing.

Hleb? Arsenal are letting him move, and when Wenger lets a player move he is rarely proven to be wrong (only Van Bronckhorst has gone on to better things from Arsenal in recent years). Hleb is like Flamini - the players around him in the Arsenal side have made him look better than he is.

Benzema - absolute quality in his game against us. Possibly too early for him to be making such a big move, but definite potential.

Pique - couldnt force his way into the Man U starting lineup past the **cough** "best centre half partnership in the World" **cough** (copywright Alan Hansen and Mark the human goat Lawrenson).

alves is a right midfielder playing right back. when sevilla played one of the english teams in the group stages this year, he was shown up to be a shite defender. i'm not saying he wouldn't be a good player for the right team, but barca need defensive minded players, and alves is not one of these.
