New "branch/copy/tag" convenience featuresAs we've recently discussed in this list, I've added some radio
buttons to the "Copy/Tag" dialog of SCPlugin (and a few other tweaks, see below). Are there folks who would like to try this out? Maybe give me some feedback? If so, can you let me know whether you're using Subversion 1.4 or 1.5 (it's kind of a pain to build both, I'm hoping I can get by with only one). -==- Jack Repenning jackrepenning@... Re: New "branch/copy/tag" convenience featuresJack,
I would definitely like to give it a try and probably have some of my folks test as well. We are on Subversion 1.4. I assume the additional tweaks include the "root-relative" hint; thanks for that as this also has caused some consternation for my users. Thanks for your speedy attention to this! We are on Subversion 1.4. OK, I've uploaded installer images that include the new Branch dialog, into the misc/ folder of our "Documents and files" area. Look for the "r721", in the 1.4.6 or 1.5.0 version appropriate to your situation. > I assume the additional tweaks include the "root-relative" hint; > thanks for that as this also has caused some consternation for my > users. Thanks for your speedy attention to this! Thanks for the feedback on that. I admit I added it, or got started adding it, just to play with the Interface Builder UI for such things. But somewhere along the line, I recalled that this actually is a fairly confusing corner of the world. That was about the same time as I realized that what I was doing in IB wasn't actually working, so the hope that I'd eventually help someone is all that sustained me while I sought (and eventually found) the *second* "Placeholder" place where I apparently must redundantly place this. -==- Jack Repenning jackrepenning@... A few minor cosmetic, non-urgent problems: - when the window is resized, some of the radio buttons do not adjust their position appropriately (vertically) - text does not wrap in the commit message text area (it all goes onto a single line). Again, many thanks for your quick attention to this, my users are impressed :-) Josh --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscribe@... But then I forgot. Now, you've reminded me! > - text does not wrap in the commit message text area (it all goes > onto a single line). Oh, that's totally new. Thanks again. > Again, many thanks for your quick attention to this, my users are > impressed :-) Sure, no problem. Here's the secret: you caught my interest with that little bit about TSVN acting different for you than for me. After that, I was hooked ;-) -==- Jack Repenning jackrepenning@...
