Netscreen Remote VPN Client

Some parts of this message have been removed. Learn more about Nabble's security policy.

I have two laptops that consistently blue screen when connected to the Juniper devices on our network using Netscreen Remote VPN Client. This occurs mostly when the end user queries an Oracle database but will also consistently BSOD when not pulling data from the database as well.

I have also tried to install the client on a Vista OS but the IreBase.dll will not register. Any ideas?

Any help you can offer would be great.

Thanks

Unless I missed something over the last week, the NS Remote client
doesn't support Vista yet.  SO you're out of luck there.

As for the BSOD, which version of the client are you running?  I had no
problems with the client in the early 8.x versions, but the latest 8.7
(or is it 8.5) had caused me grief.

I don't use it any more, the SA device is much better, but I think I
used 8.3 (or was it 8.5 this time) successfully for a while.

I'll suggest contacting JTAC if you can't find any 8.x versions that
work for you on XP.

Hi Steve,

Netscreen Remote 8.5 (as pointed out by DH) is indeed running pretty smooth
under XP!
Later versions also caused quite some troubles with us.....

Vista is still unsupported...both Juniper and Safenet stay silent... :(

Brgds,
