Yes. Have a look at
<http://gmt.soest.hawaii.edu/gmt/doc/html/GMT_Docs/node159.html>
<http://gmt.soest.hawaii.edu/gmt/doc/html/GMT_Docs/node160.html>
etc.
or the manual pages of the grd*-programs

Stephan

Yes, GMT will plot 2-D netCDF files (using grdimage, for example). The
latest version (4.3.1) can also handle 1-D netCDF files (using psxy,
etc.)

Splitxyz

Hello Folks,

   I have a xyz-ascii file containing data for several times

(e.g.

xi_t1, yi_t1,zi_t1
xi+1_t1, yi+1_t1,zi+1_t1
[...]
xn_t1, yn_t1,zn_t1
xi_t2, yi_t2,zi_t2
xi+1_t2, yi+1_t2,zi+1_t2
[...]
xn_tk, yn_tk,zn_tk

)

where n is the number of points for each time and k is the number of time-step. All these
numbers are known.

I did not get how (if it is able to) 'splitxyz' could split for each time-step my file
into k "time-segments", so as to process them with xyz2grd afterwards. Or is
xyz2grd able to directly deal with such file (2D grid with time series component)?

thanks for help !
  A.
