Netbeans design guide

The project I work on develops a component library for Creator, which I have ported to NetBeans 5.5.1.
and now Netbeans 6.0.1. Creator had a design time guide. Has NetBeans updated and released its design time guide?  I am having issues with Netbeans 6.1 during design time drag and drop.
