NetBeans CVS Client Issue

When I try to do any CVS actions, I get the error message:

cvs [server aborted]: This server does not allow legacy cvs clients to connect.

From TortoiseCVS info window:

CVS client version: Concurrent Versions System (CVSNT) 2.5.03 (Scorpio) Build 2382
CVS server version: Concurrent Versions System (CVSNT) 2.5.03 (Scorpio) Build 2354
SSH client version: TortoisePlink: Release 0.60

I'm running NetBeans 6.1. Is there anything that I can do to get the NetBeans CVS to work in this environment?

Hi,

what type of access method do you use? (:pserver:, :ext: ...)

Please also follow recommendation and limitations on CVS plugin in the IDE.

Access method is "ext"
I use Pageant with a running key
I have selected "Use External SSH", and have entered the full path to plink.exe in the "Shell Command" box

I already read that wiki guide, that's how I got this far.

Thanks!

Haven't run into this problem. Solution could be in installing the same
versions for client/server. Also verify CVSNT settings in Windows
"Control Panel" (perhaps in "Compatibility Options")
