Net5501 Watchdog

Hi,

  I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 on a net5501 box. During bootup, I get the
messages

sc1200wdt: build 20020303
sc1200wdt: io parameter must be specified
scx200_wdt: NatSemi SCx200 Watchdog Driver

Has anyone managed to get the WDT running and can get me a hint on
how to do it?

The Geode CS5536 watchdog driver didn't get accepted into the upstream
kernel until a couple of weeks ago.  It's not available in Ubuntu's
2.6.24 (unless they patched it in but I highly doubt that).

If you grab a current development kernel the driver is available and
should respond to the generic Linux watchdog interface.

If you are talking about geodewdt, Voyage Linux already includes it in its 2.6.23 kernel.  The deb kernel source and images could be found in
