Nested element: "pause" is not support for the <composite> tag

I'm see the following message:
Nested element: "pause" is not support for the <composite> tag
When I add a <pause> element to my <composite> builder. The documentation says it supports it, so what's going on?
I'm using Cruisecontrol 2.6.1, and downloaded the documentation (as part of the src package) to confirm I was able to use <pause>
For various reasons I can't move to 2.7.3 just yet.
can someone tell me what's going on?

Sure — the documentation was wrong.

The <pause> class isn't builder, so it can't be added to the
<composite> tag which takes other builders.

Of course you can have both the <pause> and the <composite> in your
schedule, and so block out times where CC shouldn't start a new build.
