Hello List,

Can you explain to me what is the action for this :

- flat / sharp (xmp icons) : Set preferred accidental type.
- right arrow (xpm icon) : Change effect column editing direction.

And too : what is a XI instrument ?

Stan.

In the modules there's no special means to determine what kind of
accidentals (sharps or flats) are used. Only the pitch is coded and
tracker does not care whether C# or Db is used (for the modern music
this is true... almost true!). But for the human perception of the music
there may be several preferences: for instance, in D-dur I'd like to see
sharps and in C-moll -- flats. So I've added the ability to select
manually what kind of accidentals to be displayed in the tracker.

For some reasons one might want the cursor to move to the next right
position what typing the effect code. And for another reason -- to move
to the next (really the vertical displacement is controlled by the
"Jump" parameter) track line. So this button is ruling this situation.

It's the file format to store the instrument for FT2 and ST. It includes
one ore more (up to 128... I hope!) samples (digitized sounds) and some
extra parameters: volume, balance, envelopes, etc...

Sorry for my English...

WBR,
Yury.

Hi,

Thanks for the 2 first answers. I really don't realize the consequence
of this action on a pattern.

For XI instrument : if I understand correctly, I can save my effect as a
'exemplification file' and re-use with all samples I want ? (I just
found this : http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/4356 to understand)
