Hi.  I am needing some suggestions for some good trails approximately
10-15 miles in length within a 2 hour drive from Evansville Indiana
(Southern tip of the state).  This is for a Boy Scout Troop, and we
have done the River to River trail (portions of it) in Southern
Illinois, and also the Two Lakes loop in Hoosier National Forest.  Any
ideas?

Mike

Best place for longer trails like that is Land Between the Lakes. Right at
2 hours away. There is a nice 12 mile loop that pretty much sticks next to
the waters the whole way. In addition, the North South trail makes for
good out and back trips. Starting from the north side and heading south
gives you better opportunities to camp near water as well.

Thanks.  We just did a week of summer camp down there a month ago.  Do
you know of any maps of the trails there?

I found the trail up by bloomington (Deam) but I can't find anything
on the Adventure Trail.  Can you be more specific?

Does anyone know where this Adventure Trail is?  I can't seem to find
any information on it.

I surfed around a little and found this site:
http://www.discoverytrail.org/states/indiana/index.html

with this contact information on it:
Maps of Knobstone & Adventure Hiking Trails
Hoosier Trails Publications
616 State Office Building
Indianapolis, IN 46204

the Adventure Trail seems to be considered part of the larger American
Discovery Trail (ADT)

Clicking on a link on the above page got me this:
"The ADT follows IN 111 south along the river to Corydon, Indiana's
first state capital and the site of Indiana's only Civil War battle. The
ADT joins the 27-mile Adventure National Recreation Trail in
Harrison-Crawford State Forest."
(from: http://www.discoverytrail.org/states/indiana/ins_south.html)
