Need help testing fix for SAK-12992...

Hello, All:

David Horwitz has asked for help in testing the fix for SAK-12992 (the symptom is that HTML email messages come through the mail archive tool as blank messages with an attachment called "unknown.html").  Here's the full description:

http://bugs.sakaiproject.org/jira/browse/SAK-12992

I'm happy to test the fix, but I don't experience the problem with any of the mail clients I commonly use.  Anyone who has experienced this problem in the past and who is willing to help test the fix please get in touch with David and I.  A list of steps to reproduce with common mail clients (any settings that are associated with the problem, etc.)  would be helpful as well.

Thanks,

Tony

I've been able to reproduce this problem using Thunderbird (http://
www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird). Setup is as follows:
- Select Preferences, Composition, 'Send Options'
- Select the 'Send the message in HTML anyway' option

I'll put this into the JIRA ticket as well.

Just for clarity - there is a fix thanks to Beth (not me!). its simply
as a policy now we would like to see some testing of fixes before they
go into maintenance branches/releases

Cheers for sound branch management, in any event.
