Is Nabble planning to come out with Skins? I just ask because of this child forum.

Anyway, if so, here's what I would like to request:
a dark background (even black, but any dark would be better than none) with a light soft text color (not a glaring one; something like #aaaaaa or a pastel color, even such colors for the links, too), larger text, and a reasonably thin serif-style font. It would be nice if the links, headers, and such were much smaller than the body of the posts. It would be nice it the dark background and light text applied to everything (including the message box where you write your posts).

I kind of talked about this in another post, but my suspicions of this forum got the better of me, and so I figured I'd throw it in here.

ok
font-size is no big deal ( as it's a problem on many sites i 'm used to it , using Ctrl+ in FF),
altough it's easiely managable by a user cookie
like on http://pma.cihar.com/HEAD-config/ (phpMyAdmin).

What is an eye strain in the font-family you are using at the moment
is the smal horizontal spacing (between characters). why not leave font settings to
the user or a forthcoming selectable skin and only offer "sans-serif" as standard?

i really appreciate your efforts and responsiveness !

Sorry I misunderstood what you said before. We did make a change to the site.css file to explicitly specify link colors in order to facilitate skin customization, without realizing that this would affect situation like yours. So, yes, we will remove those color specifications and it will change to the same as before.

Regarding the fonts, sorry, we need to set default font family. You will need to use your browser to overwrite ours. The font size of Nabble is completely proportional.

yes , i did it in my browser, but as i need it only on your site, because the two
link colors are nearly undistinguishable (at least for my eyes) i liked the previous
design (red and blue) much more.
And in firefox i need 5 clicks to change the settings
and another 5 clicks to restore after visiting nabble.
why don't you just leave out setting a color for a.visited and/or a.link (or what it is called)
in the css? Then the default browser settings take effect.

The color scheme of Nabble is the same as before. New links are blue, and visited links are purple. Please let me know if that's not what you see. Did you browser setting change recently?

I believe you can do this through your browser setting as well. In FireFox, go to Options->Content->Fonts and Colors->Advanced... there you can find a check box to uncheck "Allow pages to choose their own fonts..."
