When im about to install the patcher finally, it says "Chaotic has encountered a configuration problem, application must close" and then it says "exception: could not find direct3d device that has a direct3d9-level driver and that supports 1.1 pixel or greater" Where do i get that?

I don't have alot of knowledge about software issues.. but it apears that you don't have DirectX 9 or that you don't have a graphics card that supports DirectX 9. Try downloading DirectX 9 or 10 and it that doesn't work than try buying a new graphics card (lowest is about.. 30 bucks.. but you can also dish out $800 for a sweet Geforce 8800 DX10 series <3..)
