Minor suggestion for GTK2 version : ST icons

Hello Mailinglist,

For GTK2 version, why not adapt the four icons - lock, stop, play,
play_cur - to use the icons of each user theme ? For example : a user
who set the Human Ubuntu theme, will have the Human icons.

downarrow & rightarrow : maybe can we find a comparability ?
flat & sharp  : nothing to change or a better design ?
muted : hum... :) Personaly I created a simply black background...

What do you think of that ?

png to xpm has degraded the quality of image, but here is the
suggestion.

It is a good idea, right :) I'll added this to TODO, but not with the
highest priority since I have more vital tasks for code stabilizing and
not so much free time...

About youur picture: how have you obtained such result? Just putting
pictures from gtk/gnome theme to /usr/share/soundtracker directory or
you have patched the code for using real stock icons?

I think it would be bette to use GTK_IMAGE_STOCK_PLAY (or so), _STOP and
_PAUSE (hope they exist) for buttons?

GTK_IMAGE_STOCK_DOWNARROW and _RIGHTARROW?

Hmm, do you think they're ugly? For me not.

I mean this one should be leaved as is. This is not the usual button
icon and should not be changed with icon theme.

Regards,
Yury.

Hi Yury,

For the screnshot, I just have compiled ST with new buttons as a
replacement for the old xpm. The general look is more modern I find
after that.

Thanks to accept this suggestion :-)
