Seasons Greetings Jack,

I use Parallel 4ths tuning on both the Bass and Melody
stringsets..... This tuning is so logical and symmetrical
that you only need learn ONE major scale position,
instead of somewhere between 3 and 7 scale positions
in standard guitar tuning.

For those who may not be familiar with touchstyle
instruments, here are the links to two of my favorite
songs played on these instruments. Unchained Melody
is a sweet and beautiful tune. Redhouse Blues is a
down in the alley, dirty and nasty blues. Keep in mind
that the performers in the videos are playing both the
BASS and the GUITAR at the very same time!!!!!

When I first "discovered" MusEdit, I was pretty much crippled
without some form of TAB. Now, I can read both treble and
bass clefs. I am now learning new tunes mostly from fake
books and leadsheets. It took me a long time to teach
myself how to read music. MusEdit helped me to make all
that a reality.....
