Meeting

Hi Everyone,

As you all know, and probably many will be in attendance, the GMOD meeting
is coming up in a few weeks.  Unfortunately neither Sohel nor I can make
it.  I've looked at the draft agenda and it looks like it will be a great
meeting.  Something that might be good discussion material at the meeting
is requirements for a toy application that can be used to demonstrate the
various middleware platforms.   I was thinking of a fairly simple web page
that shows some basic information about a gene (maybe from the SGD sample
data that GMOD sends the link to?).   And possibly a console program to
extract information about a group of genes like fasta protein
sequence.   The idea would be at the FALL meeting various groups could
explain their middleware's approach to a couple of SIMPLE problems and give
people a good idea of what's involved and what they look like.

Again, sorry I won't be able to participate in any LIVE discussion at the
meeting, but have a great one.

slide that I could use to kick off the discussion and we'll try to come
up with something.
