Matrix Cell page design

Some notes I was taking about the design of this page...thoughts welcome.

The OSP wizard page and matrix cells are discussions about student
content. The purpose of such a discussion is to:
 - allow the student to receive formative feedback (from reviewers) about:
     - the items (completed forms and attached resources) the student
(and faculty in some cases) have placed in the cell
     - help the student to frame and present the above material (shape
their refelctions);
     - analyze the collection's merit in relation to meeting a stated objective
     -  allow the student to refine and add new material to her portfolio.

If you look at the typical matrix cell/wizard page, you will see a
page design that doesn't suggest a discussion at all. A good redesign
of the page would provide some tabbed views of the page that allowed
the user to choose between:

 - displaying the discussion as a threaded or non-threaded set of messages.
 - displaying only the attached items in the cell (what we are talking about)
 - displaying only a log of evaluations

I wonder what others think of redesigning this screen.

Sean's point about the matrix being a "discussion" of the student artifacts is very valid.  At this point the matrix is not a discussion but rather a view of what has been done.  Adding the capabilities of seeing the feedback as a thread would be an excellent way to add value to this academic practice.
