Well played guys!!! This was our first win since August 4th, and I hope that we can get a winning streak going on here, which if we continue playing like we did last night, I'm sure we'll get a couple more wins.

During the opening 10-15 minutes of the game, I thought our passing was excellent, our movement was also very good. Everytime one of our players receives a pass, there were atleast 2 options for him to pass to, which is great. However due to our lack of warm-up and our sudden bursts during this period, the next 20 minutes, it seemed as if we needed that time to catch our breathes back.

So in the next game, we should start the game in the same fast-paced manner as last night to see if we can grab an early goal, then after the initial burst, we should slow the tempo of the game down a little bit, pass the ball around and make them chase the ball. Then at the right moment, step up the tempo again. This way we won't have to use up all of our energy too early in the game.

The defensive unit last night was pretty solid (Ken as center-back made alot of instructions, which enabled the 2 side-backs to work with Ken as one unit). So just make a mental note that whoever is playing in center-back will have the responsibility to give out instructions to the side-backs.

I was also very happy to see defenders passing amongst each other (once our midfield and defenders can start exchanging passes forwards, backwards and sideways, then we can start making their whole team chase the ball). The forward runs by Manson and Tony as side-backs were also very encouraging. Tony even got a goal from bursting forward for a corner !!

The attacking setup also worked very well last night, it was probably the first time we managed to move the ball around their penalty box. The passing between the attacking players was excellent during the initial period of the game, and even near the half way point of the game where we didn't attack as much, we still managed to pass the ball well upfront when we did muster up an attack, which was great.

Overall it was a good performance and it was a good win. We showed grit and determination by coming back from 2-1 and then 3-2 down, and I'm absolutely delighted with this new attitude of our game that we previously didn't show. So lets keep it up and play to win in our next game !!!

Personal mentions:

In attack, Jerry did very well holding up the ball and making intricate passes with other attacking players. The movement into space was also performed very well and capped it off with nicely taken goal in the final minutes to put the game out of FC Braemar's reach.

However the suprise package in attack has to go to our hat-trick hero (MAN OF THE MATCH) Jeff; arriving late and coming on as a sub (maybe his fresh legs made a difference) he quickly made his mark by scoring the first equaliser (while i was in the bathroom). The defensive midfielder might just have found a better suited position. The link-up between him and jerry also worked out very well.

In midfield, I was completely out of form with a stomach virus (hence running to the bathroom) so I could've done alot better. Kevin made dashing runs and linked up well with both our forwards. His long-range shots, had it not been Henry in goal, Kevin might have scored 2 goals himself. Our rookie Ernest, also played his part in linking passes together, although the passes could've been made quicker.

In defense, solid unit led by Ken. Good runs down the flanks by Manson and Tony which created space upfront, and to cap off the good attacking contributions, Tony nets a goal from a nicely taken corner by Kevin. Jacky made a couple of vital saves in an all-round good performance.

Let's keep our chins up, and I bet we're all looking forward to our next game.

Goals: Jeff, Jeff, Tony, Jeff, Jerry
Assist: Kevin
Man of the Match:  Jeff

u guys definately deserved that win. if it wasnt for henry being goalie, there definately were many potential chances anyway for a goal. given the advantage that afterwards henry gashed his face and cudnt see out of his left eye and with ka lun in goal [for some reason i dont know] and braemar 2 men short on pitch [3 injured] i watched from the sidelines as u guys made some nonetheless solid plays. a few funny moments that stuck in my mind were:

-1st penalty kick, with tony choosing to shield his face rather than sacrifice his nose for the team
-2nd penalty kick when ka lun was trying to rip off jeffs shirt, which was absolutely ridiculous
-me having to fork up an extra few bucks knowing how u guys are chargin jacky chan a lil extra and trying to make them believe me.

jerry played really well this game as foward, and a good idea, i mean, tony in the back strangely enough, scored a nice header. ken definately made a huge impact on the team attack as well. let's all pitch in to book the next pitch [thank goodness the adjacent pitch was empty btw]

and a reminder not to say one more word about my loyalties.
