Master Tune change etc.?Dear folks
I'm wondering those who may already or planning to implement the following 2 functions. 1. Master Tune change Do anybody worked to change master tune of TiMidity++? I think this will be useful for rendering classical music with A=442Hz etc. Or any practical alternative way to achieve this? > He (or She) seems to asking if GS master tuning exclusive > will be implemented on TiMidity++. > # See #133 in Japanese Bug Reporting space. > > His (or Her) web shows that he (or she) uses timw32g > (tm040516) for GS delay. 2. midi per-ch delay function? tm040516 seems to support midi per-ch delay function. # http://timidity.s11.xrea.com/files/tm040516.zip (or Fix of Insertion Effect?) Looking forward that these delay/reverb functions will be back imported to the main line for linux/ cygwin use. To my feeling, this function will enrich rendering midi to music. Looking forward to your response, thanks. -- wataru.em@... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash. (Not really, just took "one year" with my ignorance.) > Or any practical alternative way to achieve this? The GS spec says GS Master Tune SysEx isn't for a disk-stored SMF (don't know exactly.) >Akeome. Koto-yoro, may be appropriate? >OK, I think I've done this, commited to CVS as Otoshidama. Good news to hear about! As a matter of fact, I'm not so familiar with CVS system, if possible, I'd like to download current tar-ball, to test first on Linux/Cygwin environment! >The GS spec says GS Master Tune SysEx isn't for >a disk-stored SMF (don't know exactly.) Really? I didn't know that Master Tune SysEx isn't for a disk-stored one..... >The alternatives would be --adjust-key or --freq-table option. You mean, extention of --adjust-key (currently, half tone step), or write own freq-table for A=442Hz? # Did anyone already written freq-table for A=442Hz? -- wataru.em <wataru.em@...> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. >As a matter of fact, I'm not so familiar with CVS system, >if possible, I'd like to download current tar-ball, to test >first on Linux/Cygwin environment! Fortunatelly, my Cygwin environment included cvs tool, and successfully got the CVS source from the CVS server. I've configured and complied the CVS source on Cygwin/WinXP, enabling vt100/ncurses/w32-gui interface. Midi file with GS Master Tune SysEx worked well, but two things seems not working well. One was, RIFF wav output. autoname seems not working, output.wav was made on the current directory, instead. Another is Japanese display at w32-gui interface. Mostly Japanese character are seen as strange shaped character, but partially in Japanese Kanji Character. (eg, "Shutsu-Ryoku| tab are seen as Kanji.) This may be my building environment issue. (Am I right?) And I've send privately the binary I build to ririka_sos-san, who made the midi, to test GS Master Tune change. I think he(she?) has already wrote replies to kagemai-ja. # May be updating his(her?) some midi/mp3 data, # which can be trackable from his(her?) homepage. -- wataru.em <wataru.em@...> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Problem in auto filename?Dear folks
I build W32GUI version of TiMidity++ from CVS tree (2007/01/04) to use GS Master Tune function. I had two problems, one has solved, but one remain. First one, I was troubled with Japanese Kanji display, due to the windres.exe, which was not multibyte com- plaint. Getting windres.exe from mingw-jp and setting envionment value of WINDOWS (CFLAG=C-SJIS) for building the binary resolve my first problem. Next I found that ``auto filename'' function for RIFF WAVE file ``Output'' seems not be working at this version. Neither ``auto filename and output in next dir'', nor ``auto filename and output in next dir (with folder name).'' This one remains as unresolved one. Looking forward to heart that someone already solved this problem. Thanks for reading this. -- wataru_em <wataru.em@...> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash. Re: Problem in auto filename?Hi.

Re: How about this way? (was Problem in auto filename?)skeishi-san and folks
Thanks for responding and trying to fix our remaining problem. >I fixed this problem today's CVS. (backport fix). Your way of fixing is a good hint for solving this problem. I found that timidity/wave_a.c does not refer ./interface.h, which __W32G__ macro is defined. Just adding "#include interface.h" in timidity/ wave_a.c to refer __W32G__ macro, defined in interface.h, seems solving this problem under w32gui environment. # I made a simple patch (diff) enclosed to this mail. Also timdity/flac_a.c seems to need same treatment. (This part also refer __W32G__ macro.) If my way of fix is correct, please comit this way of fixing to the CVS tree. As a matter of fact, I wish to have this function, autofilename, enabled also in other interface to use this function under my linux box. (Also midi-ch delay function). Looking forward to your help.
