Mapguide O.S. best hardware configuration

Hi all, I would to build a server for mapguide opensource 2.0.1, based on CentOS 5.
I am thinking for this hardware configuration:
intel quad core @2.66GHz with 8Mb of L2 Cache and 4Gb or RAM

The system have ~50 static layers, and some spatial data tables on a postgis db.

Do you think that this is a good configuration?

what's your disk config like, mapguide can be io heavy....
