Hi Andrew,

I'm not going to answer your questions but rather ask you some ;-).  I
found it interesting how you got the legend to show for the New Mexico
layer.  Did you do that using groups in the mapfile ?

One of our customers wants One Geology layers and we programmed an
InfoButton on those layers, short of being able to show a legend.  But
when legends get big, I think it would be better to show them in a
another Ext pane somewhere.  Too bad this is WMS because the really neat
thing would be to click on a legend item and get to show only those
types on the map (or conversely click on the map and get the proper
legend item to highlight).

One improvement would be to build an obfuscated JS lib for MapFish and

  The one big problem is the 
projection that Google uses, Spherical Mercator.  My MapServer layers do 
not align.  I switched projections (as defined at 
http://trac.openlayers.org/wiki/SphericalMercator AND 
http://spin.mohawkcollege.ca/courses/jackgibb/newmapping/googleWMS.html) 
to Spherical Mercator and my MapServer layers aligned.  But I would also 
have to serve the USGS Topo maps through MapServer (need MapServer to 
reproject) rather than TerraServer.  This would slow down the map 
rendering. 

What about using tilecache to store reprojected layers ?

Got the map to render completely in IE7.  Still having issues in FF3.  I
added this to the style section

Added and id to the components in the Viewport.  It made no difference.
Then I removed all the viewports in the west panel.  The map still did not

Do you use Ext.onReady? If so try using <body onload=init()> instead.

You indeed have two layer trees: the one you create with "new
mapfish.widgets.LayerTree" and another oneby xtyp'ing to "layertree"
the first item of the west panel. You must either create a component
instance yourself or let Ext create it for you using xtype. See?
Fixing this may solve your symbology issue, come back if not.

Only half of the map renders.  Once the browser is resized, scale is
changed, or base layer is selected, the map will render to the full extent
of the viewport.

I hate this one. As I said try adding an id to every component within
your viewport. I've seen cases where that solved the problem. No
guarantee! IIRC François also mentioned that this may come from the
toolbar, have you tried removing it from the map panel and see if that
fixes the issue?
