Many Binding Files for One Object

We have one object for which we need to generate a variety of XML output formats.  Said object has numerous fields which are being unmarshalled to XML.  While there are differences in the XML we need to unmarshall, there's a lot of repetition between the various formats.

Currently, we have numerous binding files for the different formats.  Ideally, we'd like to make our bindings modular, and not repeat the common portions of each binding.  Initially I thought this would be a good fit for the <include> element, but I take it that we can't reference the same object in the different included binding files.

Am I missing something on the <include> which would allow us to do this, or is there some other templating mechanism we can use so that we don't have to repeat ourselves in our binding definitions?
