usb 1-4: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4
usb 1-4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usb 1-4: New USB device found, idVendor=15e4, idProduct=0140
usb 1-4: New USB device strings: Mfr=16, Product=32, SerialNumber=64
usb 1-4: Product: VCR2PC
usb 1-4: Manufacturer: ION
usb 1-4: SerialNumber: 20080311

Je vais tenter via cross over.
Merci a toi

Sometimes, when I hit the send button, thunderbird just crashes. When this happens, it is reproducible with the same set of actions (start new mail, add attachment, write something, hit send)
This is seen when running tb from console
Well the problem will be mesa rather than the intel driver (although it's an
intel specific part of of mesa so you could argue that it's just another part
of the intel driver!). Downgrading mesa will be somewhat problematic tho' as it
will also stop the xserver from working (almost certainly).

I've asked upstream as to why this could be the case, so hopefully we'll be
able to sort it out soon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original Bug Text:

After updating to the new xorg packages X will not load the dri drivers for 3d support on the Intel GM965 chipset. Looking at the brief output when starting X via xinit from a tty I get "I830 DMA Initialization Failed". This is on an HP Pavilion 9500 laptop with the Intel 965 chipset.

I have changed various settings in the xorg.conf file, including trying both XAA and EXA acceleration, but nothing changes.

After mesa was recompiled to include swrast_dri.so I can do some 3d stuff, but compiz complains of missing 8 bit GLX support and not being able to actually draw stuff. Oh, and the screen goes all white and you can't see anything.

I'm attaching my Xorg.0.log from the last test run I did running from a tty.
> 4.4Go !

ou si tu as déjà une image iso à graver:

growisofs -Z /dev/xxx="image.iso"

Change most used applications in mandriva launcher menu (KDE 4) to the kde 3.5
style.

Right now, to launch one of most used applications you have to enter a submenu,
which is annoying. I propose to go back to the 3.5 system, in which recent
applications are above and can be run directly without entering a submenu,
Just for info, we don't usually backport beta drivers. Once there's a stable
180.xx release it'll be done as a backport.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original Bug Text:

Description of problem:
I noticed that when using Gtk applications like Firefox3 or Eclipse, the panel display may be corrupted from time to time. I do wonder if this is because some Gtk applications are using double buffering.
I'm using a Nvidia card with default settings, but even when not using acceleration or under Virtualbox, I could see this issue.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kdebase4-workspace-4.1.0-3mdv2009.0

How reproducible:
Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install kde4
2. start a gtk/gnome application ( Firefox 3, eclipse, ... )
3. pass the mouse on the panel, sometimes some areas will be corrupted and incorrectly repainted.

It seems that the upstream issue is not really solved yet. I've added myself to
the CC of the upstream and once a more definitive solution presents itself,
I'll make sure to incorporate it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original Bug Text:

Description of problem:

This appears to be an upstream issue, but I couldn't find it here so I thought I'd point it out. Essentially what happens is when X loads, my screen goes white, but begins slowly fading to black (after about 10 minutes it is usually just a blank black screen). I can hear login sounds in the background, and /var/log/Xorg.0.log shows no errors (I'm booted into windows now and cannot post mine, but there are several samples in the xorg bug linked). If I attach a separate monitor it works fine even, but never on the laptop's screen itself. The work-around seems to be to use vesa, which isn't really feasible as the screen is designed for 1600x900 and the 1024x768 vesa gives is rather unusable.

Let me know if there's any more info that might be of use, or if there's anything you want me to test out.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Any tested so far.

How reproducible:

Try to load X with the intel driver (any version so far, including 2.5.0) on any x4500MHD powered Vaio FW Series notebook (and possibly some Toshiba's as seen in the opensuse bugzilla)
Thanks for doing that Oden (I've said so already on IRC!).

Pixel, what do you think the repercussions of this will be? Is it just in PHP
do you think?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original Bug Text:

It seems that the version of gcc shipped in both 2009.0 and cooker (and possibly in 2008.1 and before, I've not tested) can cause some segv's when over optimizing.

When using -fno-strict-aliasing the problem is not triggered. The problem only affects x86_64.

It is entirely possible that this is a genuine bug in php in that it is not using fully valid ANSI C code and that gcc is correctly optimizing things.

However as this is arch-dependant, I am unsure where the real problem lies and this is the purpose of this bug report.

On x86_64, I think it's probably important to build PHP with -fno-strict-aliasing and issue an update for at least 2009.1. The problem is easy to trigger when working with the Zend Framework which is fairly popular these days.

For reference here is my original PHP bug report:
http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=46568

Here is a similar issue with 64-bit and PHP:
http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=40507

And here is a GCC bug that references a similar issue on 64-bit Solaris also solved/worked around with -fno-strict-aliasing.

As you'll see from my original bug report, it was not possible to reproduce this bug on OpenSuse. I've asked for further clarity on whether the opensuse builds used -fstrict-aliasing or -fno-strict-aliasing.

Bonjour,
