Making NNTP more friendly to Web Interface users

Hello all.
I am a long time Knode/NNTP user.  With the advent of web based forums, and in particular the merging of former NNTP forums with web forums, there currently is some level of strife when these two communities collide.  I would like to suggest a features that might help alleviate some complaints by web interface users when dealing with NNTP posters.

One common complaint is quotebacks.  If you look on a web interface at someones quoteback from Knode you will see the standard inline
quotes.

>> Important Text

What I would like to propose is the ability inside of Knode to customize the quoteback much like you can customize other bits.  In being able to customize the quoteback a person could add

into their quoteback and it would appear more inline with web based newsreaders.  By doing it in this manner it is strictly up to the NNTP user.  I do not know if this feature wouyld break any conventions, but when reading a post like:
>> Some
>> Important Text
>> Here
in a newsreader it seems to cause no ill effects, yet dramatically increases the readability to those using a web interface.

I am not a programmer so unfortunately all I can do is propose the idea.

On another note, it might be cool to have a web group reader with a panel on the left that has basically a consolidated set of links to various web forums that you could click that would open inside of Kontact as a tab.  Currently I handle web forums via Firefox, but there's no real reason I should have to leave Kontact is there?
