Hey! This mailing list is configured so that you must be a member in order to
post to it. If you're NOT a member then your emails get put into a queue
until one of the mailing list admins (currently only me) goes through and
approves the good emails and deletes the large number of spam emails.
I get a nightly email from the mailing list software telling me how many
emails are in the queue. Usually I click the link in the email and
approve/drop emails appropriately. But my mail client must have been deleting
this email from the mailing list software or something and I didn't notice it,
so I hadn't cleared out the queue in maybe two weeks. That's why we just got
those four backdated emails.
Sorry about that, I'll try to keep a closer eye on it in the future.
Alternatively we could automatically reject emails sent to the list if people
aren't subscribed to it, which basically just gets rid of the queue and forces
people to subscribe.
